BMW Inter-Regional Match Play Championship 2008

Region 1 Win Coveted Trophy
On a wonderful Autumnal day at Wentworth Regions 1 & 2 battled it out for the coveted BMW Inter-Regional Match Play Championship trophy. With Region 2 looking to retain the trophy following their victory in 2007, it was left to Region 1 to prevent another domination of the event.
The final took place over the famous West Course at Wentworth for the seventh consecutive year and both regions were treated to a course in fantastic condition.
Over recent years, the final has always been a close fought affair and this year was no exception. All the games were incredibly close but Region 1 were eventual winners by 4 ½ points to 3½.
The day was concluded with an exceptional lunch in the Ryder Cup Room at Wentworth and the trophy was presented to Dominic Hall, the successful captain of Region 1.
